PROMOTING THE COMMUNITY / ANNUAL PROJECTS

This is how we do it!   With an extraordinarily dedicated and invested Board of Directors, supported by regular volunteers, in collaboration with the City and it's Departments utilizing our, city, county and state resources.  YOU can be a part of making a lot of wonderful things happen by joining us.  These sessions are designed as open discussions—brainstorming and planning sessions where anyone with interest is welcome to join in the discussion.

This is when we do it!  on the 2nd Tuesday of each month 6:15pm at City Hall in the upstairs multi purpose room. Become a regular and see how even more gets done.

This is why we do it!

  • This team helps to create a sense of place and preserves the uniqueness of our community by enhancing the physical appearance of our downtown and by focusing on historic preservation. 
  • They work together to strengthening Portland's existing business base, while also opening doors and clearing pathways to expand it. 
  • This team also promotes our downtown’s assets, enhancing its image, and supports special events to build a fun and exciting atmosphere for residents, visitors and businesses
    – giving people a reason to come downtown linger and enjoy what is special about Portland.

  • Design, Plan and Coordinate upgrades to our district (Capital Improvements- physical, long lasting)
  • Connect with Stakeholders
  • Budget
  • Research and Make Recommendations for Guidelines, Codes, Ordinances   
  • Research and Coordinate Small Business Assistance   
  • Promote our Community
  • Support / help promote Community Events & Organize a few annual events
